Roscoe Cecil Murphy

 

Roscoe Cecil Murphy born January 18, 1918 passed away Sunday July 25, 2010 at home. Cecil was a wonderful husband, Dad, Granddad and friend. He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church until his illness. He and his wife, Betty, worked in the mission field in 1986-87. He will be missed by many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his daughters Mary Katherine Murphy, parents Albert and Dollie Claunch Murphy of Somerset, KY, sister Ruth Durant of Victoria, TX, brothers Clarence, James (Melba) Murphy of Somerset, KY, great grandson Jordon Langley of Oakdale, TN.
 
Survivors wife of 34 years, Betty McKeethan Murphy of Kingston,
Daughters Katy Neal and husband Wayne of Harriman;
Sue Brown and husband Charlie, Patti Langley and husband Joe all of Oakdale;
Step sons Dennis Mathews and wife LaTrell of Adel, GA;
Jack Mathews and wife Jackie of Valdasta, GA;
Bill Lewis and wife Isabel of Lake Placid, FL;
Bryan Lewis of Kingston;
15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 

Funeral 2pm Wednesday July 28, 2010 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Paul Lloyd officiating. Burial at Crab Orchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Tuesday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston
