Frank Tadlock McPheeters

Frank Tadlock McPheeters age 92 of Kingston went to meet his Lord and Savior Thursday July 22, 2010. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Kingston. He served in the 713th Railroad Battalion during WWII and was the Engineer that drove the 1st war train into Rome, Italy. Frank retired as an Engineer for Southern Norfork Railroad out of Birmingham, Alabama after 38 years, he lived his dream by working on trains. Frank was a member of VFW #10896, Union Lodge #38 F & AM and was a 50 year Scottish Rite Mason. Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Martha Lee Womac McPheeters, parents U.S. and Carrie McPheeters, sisters and brothers Mildred McPheeters, William McPheeters, Mayme Lawson, Charles McPheeters, Elizabeth Arnold and Dorothy Cantrell.
Mr. McPheeters is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral 10am Monday July 26, 2010 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Sonny Works officiating. Burial at Kingston Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm Sunday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston with a Masonic Memorial Service to follow at 7pm by Union Lodge #38.
