James Edgar "Jim" Miller
James Edgar “Jim” Miller, age 60, of Sweetwater, passed away on Saturday July 17, 2010. Jim served as a special deputy for Loudon County. He was president of the Jim Miller Excavating Co. for over 20 years, also served as district chairman of the Republican Party and chairman of the Monroe County Election Commission. He was well known for his kindness and generosity. Preceded in death by parents Andy K. and Stella Miller, brother: Dennis Miller, sisters: Susie and Rebecca Miller. Survivors include wife: Vickie Miller, daughter: Mechelle Miller, grandson: Bryan James Miller, sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and Lloyd Loveday, Jr., Debbie Richesin, Linda and Paul Holt, Donna and Butch Goddard, brothers and sisters-in-law: Ken Miller, Larry and Sharon Miller, Garry and Debbie Miller, Pete and Sharon Miller, father-in-law: Joe Webb, special nieces and nephews: Emily and Joel Gresham, Kaitlin Webb, Drew Webb, and several other nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law and spouse: Joel and Debbie Webb. A friend of Bill W. and Willis Bivens. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 25, 2010 from 1:30P.M. until 4:30P.M. at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, with a memorial service to follow at 4:30P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Douglas Cherokee, or the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
