Frankie Raby

Frankie Raby, age 62, of Midway community of Ten Mile,  passed away on Sunday July 18, 2010 at the family home.  He was a well known dairy farmer.  Preceded in death by his parents: Ben and Ruby Raby, sister: Geneva Mullins, brothers: Arnold  and Allen Raby, nephew: Chad Raby.  Survivors include former wife: Cathy Carver, son and daughter-in-law: Chris and Jessie Raby, grandchildren: Benjamin and Whitney Raby all of Ten Mile.  Brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth and Beverly Raby, Austin and Shirley Raby, Lowell and Kay Raby, Clyde and Nancy Raby , Eddie Raby all of Philadelphia, sisters and brothers-in-law: Shirley and Kenneth Alford, Geraldine “Jerrie” and Dewayne Maddox, Sharon and Fred Godfrey all of Lenoir City, Diane and David Curtis, of Loudon, Annette and Reese McDonald, of Philadelphia.  Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater where the family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:000P.M. until 8:00P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Dr. Ted Clower officiating.  Interment to follow in the Cedar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.  www.kykerfuneralhome.com

Mr. Frankie will be remembered with smiles, and laughs. We give praise that he is no longer in pain. Mr. Frankie was a wonderful friend; we are blessed and honored to be among his friends.       May each day bring comfort.   Know that he will be greatly missed. Our valley has lost a wonderful man.

MY HEARTS AND PRAYER GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY. I HAVE KNOW FRANKIE FOR YEARS HE WAS MARRIED TO MY SISTER CATHY. FRANKIE AND I  HAD A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND SHIP. FRANKIE IS IN HAVEN NOW GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF HIM HE WILL NOT HURT ANY MORE. WE WONDER HOW COME THINGS HAPPEN LIKE THEY DO BUT GOD HAS A REASON AND ONE DAY WE WILL  UNDERSTAND THAT. I HAVE NEVER KNOW SOMEONE LIKE HIM, HE WAS JUST A GOOD OLD COUNTRY BOY AND HE KNOW GOD. I WILL MISS HIM DEARLY I LOVE YOU FRANKIE THE AGGRAVATION GAME IS WAITING ON YOU, I BET YOUR PLAYING RIGHT NOW. YOUR PROBLELY SAYING I TOLD HER I DID NOT WANT THAT GAME, BUT YOU WILL BE MORE PATIENT UP THERE WITH GOD THEN YOU HAD HERE. Frankie was a wonderful brother-in-law when I was in the family. He was always smiling and loved his family. I never heard anyone say a bad word about him. If everyone could be like him it would be a better world. I will cherish the memories I have of him.God bless his family in this time of sorrow.

Frankie was a great cousin "in-alw" and employer. We so enjoyed staying/living and working for him! Cathy and Chris were truly blessed!! He will be so missed! May the Lord Bless and keep you close as you go through this hard time ~ remember I'm only an hour away!!! We Love You!!
