Richard "Darb" Jackson, Sr.

 

Richard “Darb” Jackson, Sr. age 87 of Kingston passed away Thursday January 28, 2010 at his home. He was born and raised in Coalfield. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and a sister.
 
Survivors include:
Wife of 67 years Marie Bunch Jackson of Kingston;
Sons and daughters in law Richard and Lois Anderson Jackson, Jr. of Kingston;
Jerry Lee Jackson of Kingston;
Wayne Eric and Kathy Ann Killebrew Jackson of Ocoee, FL;
4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
 

Funeral 11amSaturday January 30, 2010 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Ted Clower officiating. Burial at RoaneMemorialGardens in Rockwood. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral due to the weather. It's hard to let someone  go that you love. Richard was special to me. All of the family is in my thoughts and prayers. Richard put up a good fight with his medical problems and always managed to smile even when he was miserable. He lived a blessed life and will live a better one with our Lord and Savior. No more pain or pills. Just happy. Praise God we will see him again someday and I bet he will have his overalls on too. Please let me know if I can do anything for the family. We will miss him.

We will miss Richard. He  is  such a sweet and kind man. Always managed to have a smile on his face.  We wanted the family to know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
