Edwin Eblen Arnold, age 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Kingston, Saturday morning, January23rd. Edwin was the son of Edgar Waller and Eula Viola “Vida” Arnold of Wheat, Tennessee. Preceded in death by brothers: Charles, Lee, Gene, Sidney; and sisters: Mary and Betty Ruth. He was a Charter member and Elder Emeritus of West Hills Presbyterian Church in Harriman, Tennessee, and owner of Arnold Insurance Agency for more than forty years. As an active member of both the Harriman Lions and Rotary Clubs, he received numerous awards.

In 1949, he married Charlotte Eloise Baites of Fayetteville, Tennessee until her death in December of 1967. Edwin later married Margaret Browder Stegall of Kingston, Tennessee in 1969. Edwin was a devoted husband and father, who lived a Christ like life of placing others needs above his own.

Survivors include his loving wife Margaret, children Charlotte Eloise Kilbride, Mary Vida Beal, Katherine Dora Welsh, Edwin Eblen Arnold, Jr., Michael Wilson Arnold; sister Sarah Hembree of Dayton, Tennessee; daughters Dixie Stegall Mason, Annabelle Stegall Harvey, and Margaret Stegall Bacon; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 27th from 5pm to 7pm at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman, with the funeral service to follow at 7pm. On the following day, Thursday, January 28th, family and friends will gather at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm graveside service at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. Pastor Jeff Jenkins will preside over the services. Please come join with us in a celebration of Edwin’s life.
