Michael David Russell Jr. of Harriman age 30 was called home to the Lord after a lengthy illness at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Michael was an avid sports fan. He played football for both Harriman & Oliver Springs. He loved pets, owning several dogs. Being as he was in a wheel chair and went about town with his special dog Joint who protected him with a great love. Joint was his beloved German Sheppard that died September 2009. Michael was preceded in death by his father Lester M. Johnson, grand parents Rev. Claiborne and Mamie Russell, James and Donna Jeffers Miller, aunt Bobbie Basler, and his beloved cousin Dorothy Faye Jeffers Hampton, brother in law James (Randy) Barnes.
